Dear diary,

Hi! I´m back in Brumley after my two-month “trip” to the seaside. Being away helped me come to terms with the idea of losing Gerald for ever...of being terribly lonely once more.
I’ve found a new place to stay, but I´m running out of money.
There is no place where I can find a job, so I don´t have many alternatives. I don’t want to go to that Palace Bar again, not after what happened the previous time, but I seem to have no other choice. Money won’t fall from the sky, and I need to pay my lodging somehow. If this is how I’m going to make some money, then so be it . I don’t want to live in the streets. It is really maddening not to know if you are going to eat something during the day, or if the owner of the lodging will come to kick you out.
Tomorrow I’ll go to the Palace Bar to earn some money, at least to survive for the rest of the month.
Wish me luck,
Daisy
