Dear diary,

It´s a fact: I am expecting a baby.
I confirmed it some days ago, and I immediately realised that I had to let Eric know, so I went to the Palace Bar to look for him. There he was, drinking with his friends, as usual.
I told him I needed to speak with him and asked him to come to my room.
He was already intoxicated and he didn´t feel like moving at first, but I managed to get him to his feet.
The cold air of the street awakened him a bit, and by the time we were in my room, I had the feeling he was clear-headed enough to disclose the news.
I think he was a bit shocked at first. He hadn´t expected something like this would happen. Luckily, the idea we could get married never came to his mind.  The only thing that occurred to him is to offer me money. He said he had enough to help me raise the child. He told me not to worry. He made me promise I wouldn´t contact his parents. He would get the money I needed.
These rich people solve all their problems with money! It is so disgusting!  However, I need money to raise a child and I won´t be able to get a job if I am pregnant, so I had to accept Eric´s offering.
At least, I won´t have to worry about money any more. That doesn´t make me feel less lonely, but at least now I know I  have somebody to love in my womb. That is definetely a consolation.  Daisy
